debut test match of Bangladesh Cricket Team on 10th November, 2000. He
soon became a popular member of the team and showed promises with the

His career was almost derailed soon afterwards, when he was reported to the ICC for a suspect action. He was tardy in taking remedial action, and was out of the national team until 2002, when he was picked for the home series against South Africa. His return to cricket was classy and promising, with a six-wicket haul in the second Test against South Africa. He has not looked back since. He was the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the home Test series against India, and the second highest during the away tour to Zimbabwe.
Mohammad Rafique is known as one of the best spinners ever produced in Bangladesh. People all over the world have praised him for his excellent ability to bowl in a certain area on consistent basis. He played his last test match against South Africa and in that match, he became the first ever Bangladeshi Cricketer to get 100 test match wickets.
